Seattle Cancer Care Alliance

The Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA) is a non-profit cancer treatment and research center located in Seattle, Washington. Established in 1998, it is a collaboration between three partner organizations: Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Seattle Children’s Hospital, and UW Medicine, forming the Fred Hutch/University of Washington Cancer Consortium.

On April 1, 2022, SCCA and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center merged to form the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, a unified adult cancer research and care center integrated with the University of Washington Medicine and UW Medicine’s cancer program.

The center offers a range of cancer treatments, such as bone marrow transplantation, surgical oncology, radiation oncology, proton therapy, immunotherapy, and palliative care. Its survival rates for certain forms of cancer, such as lymphoma, exceed national averages. It also performs clinical trials investigating various forms of cancer and is the only NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center in Washington state that receives support from the National Cancer Institute and must demonstrate expertise in research, patient care, and education.
