About Carolyn E. Jones

Dr. Carolyn Jones is an Associate Professor of Surgery and the Chief of Thoracic and Foregut Surgery at the University of Rochester Medical Center. A distinguished alumna of the George Washington University School of Medicine, Dr. Jones furthered her expertise with fellowship training in cardiothoracic surgery at the same institution. She holds memberships with the American College of Surgeons, the Society of Critical Care Medicine, and the Association for Academic Surgery. Certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery, Dr. Jones also serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery, focusing on Thoracic (SMD).

Based in Rochester, New York, Dr. Jones is a practicing Thoracic Surgeon and General Surgeon. She is recognized for her proficiency in treating a wide range of conditions, excelling particularly in managing Hiatal Hernia, Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC), EGFR Positive Lung Cancer, and conducting advanced bronchoscopy and gastrostomy procedures. Dr. Jones is highly esteemed for her extensive knowledge and exceptional patient outcomes in these areas.
