About Daniel Johnson

Dr. Daniel Johnson is a medical oncologist who specializes in treating patients with melanoma. He has a strong interest in researching strategies to overcome resistance to immunotherapy and prevent its related toxicities. He has published multiple articles and presented at national meetings on the subject of managing and understanding the underlying mechanisms of immune toxicity.

As a clinical investigator, he is focused on designing and implementing clinical trials to improve the safety and effectiveness of immune checkpoint inhibitors. He received his medical education from Louisiana State University at New Orleans, completed an internship in internal medicine at Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans, and completed his residency and fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
