About Eric Luk
Dr. Eric Luk, a board-certified medical oncologist, specializes in treating patients with thoracic, head and neck, and central nervous system cancers. He received his medical degree from Tulane School of Medicine in New Orleans and went on to complete his internship and residency at University of Massachusetts Medical School. He then finished his Hematology Oncology fellowship at Ochsner Health System, where he served as Chief Fellow.
Dr. Luk joined the staff at Ochsner in 2020 and is an active member of several medical organizations, including the American Society of Hematology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer. He is also interested in clinical research, community service and medical education, and has had research presented at various national conferences.
He was also awarded with the CHEST Foundation COVID-19 Community-based grant in 2020 for addressing food insecurity of cancer patients. As of July 2021, he was designated as an Associate Program Director for Ochsner's Hematology Oncology fellowship.
