About Sai Yendamuri

Dr. Sai Yendamuri is an expert in minimally invasive thoracic surgery, esophageal cancer, complex esophageal surgery for benign esophageal pathology, lung cancer, complex lung surgery for benign lung pathology, mesothelioma, mediastinal tumors, tracheal surgery, and photodynamic therapy. He specializes in treating a variety of cancers, including carcinoid, esophageal, lung, mediastinal, mesothelioma, neuroendocrine tumors, and thymus.

Currently, Dr. Yendamuri holds several positions at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, including Chairman of the Department of Thoracic Surgery, Professor of Oncology, Attending Surgeon in the Department of Thoracic Surgery, and Director of the Thoracic Surgery Laboratory. He is also a Professor of Surgery at Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, University at Buffalo.

Dr. Yendamuri received his MD from All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, India. He completed residencies at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX, New York Hospital Medical Center of Queens/Cornell University in New York, NY, and Christiana Care Health System in Newark, DE. He also completed fellowships at Harrison Department of Surgical Research in Philadelphia, PA and Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. He is Board certified by the American Board of Surgery.
