About Ian Bostock
Dr. Ian Bostock is a highly trained and experienced thoracic surgeon. He holds the position of assistant professor of surgery in the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at MUSC. Dr. Bostock completed his general surgery training at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, and later his thoracic surgery training at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
He specializes in the care of patients with lung and esophageal cancer, mesothelioma, mediastinal and chest wall tumors, and benign esophageal diseases such as reflux, achalasia, and paraesophageal hernias. He is also part of a multidisciplinary lung transplant team. His areas of interest include health disparities, shared decision making, esophageal cancer, and minimally invasive thoracic surgery. He has published research that can be found on the National Institutes of Health PubMed website. Dr. Bostock is Board Certified in Surgery.
