About Joshua H. Winer

Dr. Joshua H. Winer is an Associate Professor of the Division of Surgical Oncology in the Department of Surgery at Emory University School of Medicine. He specializes in treating patients with appendix, colorectal, esophageal, gastrointestinal stromal tumor, liver, neuroendocrine, pancreatic, and stomach cancer.

He is certified by the American Board of Surgery in general surgery and surgical critical care, proficient in the use of hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) and is a member of both the American College of Surgeons and the Society for Surgical Oncology.

Dr. Winer obtained his medical degree in 2004 from the University of Maryland, completed his general surgery residency and surgical critical care fellowship at Brigham and Women's Hospital and a surgical oncology fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center before joining Emory University. His research focus is on high-risk colon cancer subtypes and the application of intraoperative technology.
